The varying soul experiences still find their basis in duality, rather than unity, to the extent that they focus on one form of realisation to the exclusion of all others. While high and valuable, these experiences are still based on the mind, albeit highly spiritualised and developed.
Beyond the spiritual realisations based in the spiritual mind, there is the experience based on the next evolutionary stage of the Supramental level of consciousness. At this level, the principle of unity and oneness is primary as opposed to the principle of division and separation at the level of mind. Thus, the integral realisation occurs when we can achieve a new standpoint beyond the mental level and provide an integral realisation that incorporates the experience of Oneness and Unity with the comprehensive relation at all levels, mental, emotional, vital, and physical.
Sri Aurobindo explains: “The psychic transformation after rising into the spiritual change has then to be completed, integralised, exceeded and uplifted by a supramental transformation which lifts it to the summit of the ascending endeavour.”
